| Once the formerly taboo behavior of men padding teen girls became acceptable, even though it was nothing more than a perverted male backlash against the gender equality in the late 70s, the floodgate of sexually charged paddlings opened in the US, just as it did in Britain. We were no longer in the “good old days” of paddling from that point on, if indeed we ever were. Most U.S. schools eventually recognized the paddling as the physical and sexual abuse it was and simply eliminated it completely over the years—especially when they considered the heightened sexual dimension of more adolescent female victims that “equality” seemed to demand. The places that continued to defend and use the paddle, however, sank deeper into perversity and brazen sex abuse. Men increasingly paddling teen girls, even legally adult 18-year-old women in the fewer places that still paddled, was a perverted twist on one of Jesus’ teachings: Those who had modesty and decency were “given more” enlightenment and eliminated paddling completely, while those who “paddled perversely” had what little modesty and decency they possessed taken from them. They sunk to ever-greater depths of adolescent sex abuse, unaware victim pornography, and sadism. | | Most of the paddling accounts that the young women related to Cathy and I would seem incredible--not only to modern people in non-paddling areas, but to people in those same high paddling areas in the past as well. Girls did not commonly even go to school beyond elementary in the early US, and even in the 1950s the drop out rate was around 50%. I was amazed at the University of Michigan-Flint library some years ago to see an entire row of old books from the 1920s debating whether women should be educated at all. They evidently weren’t at the time--at least not commonly at the high school level. The sexual “age of consent” in Michigan was 12 at the turn of the century and 10 before that. Life was short and brutish. Even young girls could became wives and mothers, most often with much older husbands. Few women would have made it through high school then, and, for that matter, not too many men did either. Now women typically go to school well into sexual maturity, and digital technology itself has created additional sexual concerns when it comes to spanking and paddling children and teens. | | We now have miniature spy cameras that are cheap and can be hidden as smoke detectors, wall clocks, ink pens, or pagers on principal’s belts. They can transmit high quality video images to one or more VCRs in another room, or else to a computer on the principal’s desk. The signal could go directly from the principal’s computer though a high speed Internet connection and be stored at the principal’s home in a locked basement room, or transmitted anywhere in the world that he wishes to send it. It could be sent directly to a private coded Internet spanking pornography site and the principal could get a “kick-back” check from “RJR Enterprises,” or some similar "mysterious investment enterprise," every month. No-one—not the students, parents, school board, or even the local police in most cases, would necessarily have any knowledge of it, or have any way to find out. If they did find out they would learn that everything the “pervert principal” was doing was, in any case, perfectly legal. The technology is small, cheap, and easy to conceal, and our doublethink on paddling denies the overwhelming sexual abuse and pornographic realities that surround it. Principals can easily and legally secretly videotape paddle sessions featuring child or adolescent victims, aged four through 19, for whatever purposes they like. In case they don’t have their own spy cameras handy the schools often provide official “security cameras,” which can also be hidden, that record the paddle action as well. | | In reality most schools where secret spanking porno production is going on probably have several men involved—a few “assistant principals,” maybe a school board member or two, and one or more janitors to “keep the secret” when cleaning as well. Some schools may have many people involved—including “special donors” in private schools who are allowed to view or possess the “discipline tapes” to “study corporal punishment” at the school they contribute to. “See how we are doing the work of the Lord here at Whackerville academy…” and look at the way Tammy’s ass jiggles with the paddle hits. For an extra $300 donation you can have a special video of all of our cheerleaders cheering at games, along with school pictures, and many paddling scenes. Several private schools in our interviews, as well as in news articles, openly, in fact, videotaped teens having their buttocks beaten. In these older cases the school employed child pornographers were forced by technology to use large, “old fashioned,” early 1990s video cameras on tripods. They videotaped naked or partially undressed teens in beating sessions for “study” purposes. Today it is highly unlikely the victim would be aware of multiple cameras in a “paddle room.” | | Regardless of how legal it is to videotape teens getting “spankings” and beatings in paddling schools, the practice is certainly something that everyone involved wants to keep secret. A symbiotic collusion of personnel is the very likely reason why teen female victims often reported that male janitors were allowed to watch them get paddled. This is why the principal’s door is often left open while the girl is in the “bent over” waiting position and the janitors just “happen to walk by,” and why teen girls are paddled in the hall and the male janitors are allowed to stand and watch. Janitors in these places have to “keep the secret” and “be in on it” too, since otherwise they might stumble across the camera equipment or videotapes after hours while cleaning and blow the secret wide open. The best way to keep them quiet is to “let them in on it” (and make them guilty too.) | | The degeneration from the already abusive “good old days” paddling to the uglier realities in paddling schools today involve invasive changes in spy camera technology as well as an increased victimization of women. Men seldom paddled High school and adult women, or even Junior High teen females, in “the good old days.” The sexual violation seemed obvious to far more people then, even if they were blinded to the male-male sexual violation when men paddled boys. Beyond a semi-protective modesty, “old fashioned schools” certainly did not have easily hidden low-light digital spy cameras in “the good old days.” Both aspects, as well as many other related changes, throw greatly increased pornographic elements into paddling today that didn’t exist in the 50s and 60s. We can never “turn back the clock” on either development. If there ever was a “good old days” of paddling, which I highly doubt, they can never return. | | I initially believed, before Cathy and I began our interviews, that the case we’ll look at later, from the US Senate hearing in 1984, was a blatant caxe of paddling sexual harassment that could only happen in a fairly backward 1980 mindset. I naively thought that an obviously sexually abusive paddling like that could never happen today in any state. The sexual “double standard” that let boys rake leaves but coerced girls to “take the paddle” seemed outrageous. The brutal violation of three young women by a male paddler was neither “old fashioned respectful treatment of women” nor “modern equal respect.” It was instead some “bastardized,” 1980s male backlash, contempt for “women’s lib.” Sadly we have found that this type of exploitive school paddling is alive and well in many places in the US at the dawn of the new millennium. Paddling in extremely male dominated and child abusive regions has reached heights of exploitation and abuse of adolescent girls that would have been unthinkable decades ago, and which should be even more unthinkable today with our supposedly greater awareness of sexual abuse and harassment. |
